Ian Spencer - Infrastructure Director

Every business needs its own IT wizard and Discover And Invest is no exception. With this in mind we were pleased to bring Ian on board earlier in the year, after 6 successful years at TheMoveChannel.com, to take control of all our online & IT activity to include the day to day running of the business systems. He hit the ground running by developing the version of the website you see today which we launched in July 2008 and is managing the development of other sites we will be launching in time to come.

Online presence and internet marketing is another of his specialties, a skill he honed during a six year spell as Business Development Manager for a leading property website. As with many roles he found his expertise to outgrow its boundaries and accepted the position of IT & Marketing Manager for a prospering property investment firm. He remained in this role for a year during which time he realised his true potential. It is with this in mind that he chose to explore these niches with us, and from our perspective we are privileged to have on board a multi skilled individual who has a working knowledge of the industry from a number of perspectives.

The city life is not for everyone and Ian is no exception. Based in Gloucestershire near the Welsh border his knowledge & passion for the Forest of Dean is second to none. He makes a great tour guide, not least regarding the location of the great country pubs in the region of which he can also demonstrate a profound knowledge!

Ian is a massive fan of Sheffield Wednesday (for his sins!) and travels to as many matches as time allows. He is also a big fan of Family Guy, drinking as much down his local pub as possible and reading up on all of the latest information and tips from the web development world.
